After running the highly successful SORC Round the Rock Race (known as the soloFASTNET) in 2016, the 2nd Edition of the race will start on Saturday 2nd June 2018.
Starting off Cowes, this unique solo challenge will take us along the South Coast of the UK, out into the Irish Sea, around the Fastnet Rock, and back to Plymouth. As well as managing your boat and yourself, you will have to deal with the vagaries of the tides, winds and headlands, whilst avoiding various obstructions. A true test of skipper and boat.
The soloFASTNET has been accepted as an official solo qualifier for the 2019 AZAB Race and the 2020 OSTAR
The entry fee includes: Yellow Brick Tracking, 1 night’s mooring in Cowes, 2 nights’ mooring in Plymouth, pre-race buffet and briefing, post-race dinner and prize giving, prizes, battle flag, shirt, memento.
