Press Release of November 29, 2019.
THE IRC TRANSAT IRC UNCL REVEALS ITS NAME: CAP-MARTINIQUE 2021.
Official launch of Cap-Martinique, whose first edition is scheduled for April 18, 2021.
IRC rated monohulls from 30 to 40 feet, manned solo or duo, this Transat offers amateurs and advanced sailors a non-stop course of 3800 miles.
The designers of this new transat aspire to create an innovative race, focusing primarily on sailors, but not only.
If the reputation of the starting port - La Trinité-sur-Mer - is well known in the sailing world, now it is the opportunity to give an important place to a new arrival port: Fort de France, Martinique.
Equally, the opportunity to guide everyone's consciences by requiring a sustainable development component.
Finally, the opportunity to take advantage of the collective enthusiasm of such an event to provoke societal questions by promoting the commitment of crews to a non-profit organisation that carries these values.
Interest is high, even before the publication of the Notice of Race scheduled for early December, Cap-Martinique already has 45 pre-registrations. The organizers wish to limit the entries to 55 boats for this first edition.
Notice of Race available the 5th of December
Opening of registrations on December 15, 2019.
