SORC Channel Week 2024 with up to 6 races over about 300 Nm will take us to France, the Channel Islands and the West Country, finishing in SORC tradition at Lymington.
A mix of longer legs across the channel with some shorter, challenging tidal courses around the Channel Islands and rest days to regroup, and relax should provide the ingredients for a classic SORC Channel Week.
Just in case the weather has other ideas we will be flexible and go where it allows us to.
SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
Provisional programme for the week.
Saturday 13th - Central Solent (start 1000h) to Cherbourg
Sunday 14th - Cherbourg (start 1430h) to Alderney ( subject to weather)
Monday 15th - Alderney (start 0800h) to St Peter Port , Guernsey via les Hanois (Alternative course from Cherbourg start 0600h to St Peter Port)
Tuesday 16th - Rest day in St Peter Port
Wednesday 17th - St Peter Port (start 0800h) to Dartmouth
Thursday 18th - Rest day in Dartmouth
Friday 19th - Dartmouth ( start 0800h) to Weymouth / Portland
Saturday 20th - Weymouth / Portland (start 0800h) to Lymington
